Introduction to the DEWline

The DEWline -- Distant Early Warning line -- was a series of radar stations built above the Arctic Circle during the early years of the Cold War. I was there for total of about 16 months working on the commissioning of the communication equipment. While there I took a number of pictures that are available here. I have annotated some of the photographs and will continue to add to them as time permits.
